TREE PLANTING

TREES!!! The New York Audubon society needs volunteers on November 8th from 10 am to 4pm at 71 west 23rd street in Staten Island NY. Volunteers will be provided with lunch (yummie) work gear (oo-la-la) and a special token of their appreciation (mysterious..oo). STATEN ISLAND that's mighty far from yonkers you say. Indeed it is, but fear not key clubbers we can all take the subway together! (to the possible chagrin of NYC commuters..). Anywho more details pertaining to the location and exact time of our meeting point (before we take the subway) will be posted as soon as possible. In the meantime enjoy this poem by joyce kilmer

PARADE OF PETS!

yep its a set deal, i spoke to Ms. Palladino (the very nice woman organizing the event) today and she is delighted to have YHS students volunteer on sunday. The event will be from 1 - 4 at Webb Field in Richard Presser park, Central Ave NY. However, all students who are planning to volunteer must have their parents sign a letter saying that Student Advocacy, The Hartsdale Rotary Club, and the town of Greenburgh are not responsible for the well being of the student. You must write the letter and present it on sunday, or your parents can fill out a waiver at the volunteer registration table when they drop you off. Either way, you must have parental consent. In my opinion it would be easier to write the letter at home and have your parents sign it. The following people have told me that they are going: Ashwin, Kaitlyn, Steven, Wanda & Xiomara. WELCOME BACK

hey key clubbers another year awaits us and there is plenty to do. First of... we need to figure out what we want to do. I heard of parade of pets in Hartsdale NY which is basically a family festival where we could play with puppies and kittens and do crafts with kids all to benefit student advocacy I think that sounds fun. BAKE SALE

So... we've decided to join March of dime's efforts to help babies. The snag is that we're broke. So, help us out by bringing in yummy things to sell to people. hooray for the teenage appetite. We will be selling your stuff after school on the 7th & 9th. this is more than just another club bake sale, this money is not going to purchase hoodies or fund trips (which yes are fun and good to have) this money is going to a good cause. March for Babies

We all love babies. or at least I hope you do. So, if you do in fact, like infants please join us on April 27th. The event will be held right here in Westcheter county at Saxon Woods pool, as well as in locations all over the United States. Registration begins at 8 am, if you register prior to the dat eof teh walk then you are welcome to come at 9. There will be lunch provided by Applebees. attention all members we've started a new project were holding a drive to send supplies to out troops . It doesn't matter what your political stance is, it's always nice to be nice. If anything small acts of kindness are the only thing that will make an impact. attached are the scanned images of the list. The gift wrapping date is set for FEBRUARY 10th at DUNWOODIE GOLF COURSE
